STEVE FREEMAN

Steve founded Black Watch Premier (BWP Albany & BWP Burlington) in 1997. He is the current Director of Programming for the Club as well as Chief Executive Officer. He currently coaches the BWP Albany Boys 2000/01s, 2005s and 2006s. Freeman currently holds the USSF National B License and USC Premier Diploma (Formerly held USSF National A License for 16 years, expired). Steve is profoundly interested in coaching education and player development. He is currently a USC National Staff member, and has been involved with many player development programs like the Super Y League National Camp, the US Club Soccer ID2 National Camps. Freeman was also a board member on National Board of Directors for US Club Soccer for 6 years. Steve also served as the Director of Coaching at Latham Circle Soccer Club for 2 years. Steve is passionate about the sport of soccer and teaching the game to the next generation of elite players. Freeman has been a public elementary school teacher since 1999, and holds his Master’s Degree in Teacher Education/Staff Development. Freeman played collegiately at the Division I level, professionally and semi-professionally for 6 years. Steve has coached scholastically and collegiately, as both a head coach and assistant coach since 1995. Currently, Freeman is the head coach at the Christian Brothers Academy.


TREVOR GORMAN

Technical Director​​​​​​​

Trevor Gorman enters his sixth season as head men's soccer coach for the University at Albany Great Danes. He anchored a coaching staff that was named the America East Coaching Staff of the Year. Gorman was an assistant at Wright State for one season prior to being hired at UAlbany. He also coached at the club level with the Ohio Galaxies and the Upper Valley Lightning in Hanover, N.H.

From 2007-09, Gorman was an assistant at Dartmouth College. Gorman played for his father at Penn State University where he was a midfielder on the 2002 Big Ten Conference championship squad and a pair of NCAA teams. After earning All-Academic Big Ten honors his senior season, Gorman enrolled in graduate school at the University of North Carolina. Gorman, who has a B.A. in business management, has a sports publicity background, having worked in Penn State's sports information office. He assisted at the NCAA Men's and Women's College Cups and the Atlantic Coast Conference men's and women's soccer tournaments. In addition, Gorman was a sideline reporter for Fox Soccer Channel's college broadcasts. Gorman, who holds a NSCAA Premier Coaching Diploma, earned a master's degree in exercise and sport science with an emphasis in sport administration from North Carolina.


JAKE BOLAND

Director of BWP Troy Prep

 Jake holds a NSCAA Premier Coaching Diploma and USSF D License. He is the director of the BWP Grassroots Program which includes Summer Camps and Youth Academies that run throughout the soccer season.  Jake has a BA in Philosophy, Policies and Law from Binghamtom University, a graduate of Shaker High School and former collegiate player for Plattsburgh University. Jake is also a member of the technical staff coaches at BWP Albany.


RON McEACHEN

KEACH'S CORNER

Ron McEachen, known to most as "Keach", has served over 30+ years as a National Staff Coach for both the NSCAA and USSF, 40+ years as a successful collegiate coach, and many years as a youth soccer club director.

 

A 1969 graduate of West Virginia University, Keach was a first-team All-America before going on to a professional career (1971-78) with the New York Cosmos and Miami Toros of the NASL and the Connecticut Wildcats, Pittsburgh Miners, and Rhode Island Oceaneers of the ASL.
 
Keach began his coaching career at Middlebury College in 1976, moving to UVM in 1985.  He left Vermont in 1995 to join the staff of the New England Revolution of the MLS. He then took over the Skidmore College program in 2000. At the collegiate level, Keach earned over 300 wins during his illustrious coaching career.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

The BWP Administrative Team’s main objectives are to support the BWP Technical Staff, the implementation of our programming and the needs of our Club membership. BWP executes the day-to-day operations of the Club’s business.

Currently, the BWP Administrative Team consists of:

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Black Watch Soccer Club, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization recognized in New York State. The Club operates under the branding of Black Watch Premier (BWP). The BWP Board of Trustees meets quarterly.

 

The BWP Board of Trustees consists of:
